KNOXVILLE,Tenn.,—Jackson Tunks (14, Fairhope) of the City of Mobile Swim Association (CMSA) was high-point winner for his age division at the 2012 Southeastern Swimming Championships held in Knoxville last month. This was Tunks’ second win at SES Short Course, the first in 2010. He swam the maximum seven events at the four-day preliminary/final format meet. Tunks swam to first place in five events: 1000-, 1650-yard freestyle, 100-, 200-yard backstroke, 400-yard individual medley, and finished third in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley. He swam anchor for the 400-yard freestyle relay and backstroke for the 400-yard medley relay. The A relay team of Tunks, Robert Andreoli (14, Bay Minette), Brian Jockers (13, Gulf Breeze, FL), and Asher Oldenburg (14, Mobile) finished third and fourth place respectively. By meets end, Tunks had six personal best times and broke three CMSA team records. He scored 132 points with his individual swims to help CMSA achieve the title of “Top Team in Alabama.”
