Martha Katherine Jackson and Robert Christopher Odom were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 24, 2008 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Foley.
The Rev. Michael Taylor and the Rev. Harold Hoeferkamp officiated at the ceremony. Crucifer was Matthew Jansen.
The bride is the daughter of Martha Kay Jackon and the late Dr. Robert M. Jackson Jr. of Foley.
She is the granddaughter of Katherine Thompson of Foley and the late A.J. Thompson Milton Jackson of Butler and the late Arlene Mitchell.
The bridegroom is the son of Diane Marie Odom of Memphis, Tenn., and Stevens Anthony Odom of Spanish Fort. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pat Donald Grace of Memphis, Tenn.
Given in marriage by her mother and brother, Rob Jackson, the bride wore a sweetheart neckline strapless ivory organza sheath gown with a lightly re-embroidered Alencon lace overlay over a mocha silk shantung. The gown featured a trumpet skirt and train. The bride's veil was made of Florence Organza with lightly re-embroidered Alencon lace around the bottom border.
Jennifer Powell and Lyndsey Thacker served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Thompson, Ashley Thompson and Laura Diacas.
Chuck Burkes served as best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Odom and Christopher Odom, brothers of the bridegroom; Jeffrey Plucker and Justin Gray.
A reception at the Hotel Magnolia followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to West Virginia, the couple resides in Spanish Fort.
