Michael E. Jacobssen, a 1968 graduate of Fairhope High School and a resident of Benbrook, Texas, and Patricia Ann Borrego, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., also a resident of Benbrook, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Frances Woodberry of Clearwater, Fla. Her sister, Veronica Woodberry, also lives in Clearwater.

She works Civil Service with the 301st Fighter Wing in the F-16 Quality Assurance office at the Base.

She is a Gulf War veteran and has two children, Senior Airman Erica Borrego of the Texas Air National Guard, NAS JRB Fort Worth; and Airman Steven Borrego, newest member of the family to join the USAF. He will be stationed at Fairchild AFB, Wash., in February 2008.

The prospective bridegroom works at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. in Fort Worth, Texas, on the F-16 fighter program.

He is a Vietnam veteran and was a four-year team member with the USAF Thunderbirds from 1972 through 1975. His father, Clarence, brother Patrick and sister-in-law Margaret, live in Quail Creek in Fairhope.

The couple are Air Force Reserve members assigned to 10AF Headquarters, NAS JRB Fort Worth, where they met.

They will both retire from the military in about two years with 26 years each.

The couple will exchange vows Dec. 29, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth. They are planning a honeymoon trip to Newfoundland next spring. They will continue to reside in Benbrook.
