Jacquelyn McKnight-Williams, born Sept. 20, 1954 in West Memphis, Ark., died Monday, June 27, 2011 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

She graduated from Stephens College with a BA in art and subsequently earned an MA in art history from the University of Missouri. She was a long time resident of Wilmington, N.C., and Houston. She and her husband, Darryl had recently moved to Calgary.

She enjoyed nature and the beautiful vistas of Canada. She was an extremely talented artist and will be remembered for her art work and photography.  She loved contributing her art to restoring old homes and creating unique furnishings. She loved the sounds and smells of the beach. She loved people, gourmet meals, travel and above all, God and family. She loved the church and even taught the art of making beautiful Russian style eggs. She will be sorely missed by her many friends in the USA and Canada. She will be remembered for her smile, her voice and her sweet disposition.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Atkison McKnight.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Jon Darryl Williams of Calgary; son, John Robert (Heather) of Fort Campbell, Ky., one grandchild, Taylin of Fort Campbell;  brother, Dr. Robert (Pattie) McKnight of Daphne;  four nieces and two nephews; her mother, Joan Spaine McKnight; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Billy Williams; and sister-in-law, Anna Williams.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8 in Malone Hall at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Building Fund.
