James A. Wagoner Jr., 87 of the Barnwell community, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and owned and operated S & W Wrecking Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Darleen B. Wagoner of Barnwell; sons, Claude Dennis “Butch” Wagoner of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and James Armor “Buddy” Wagoner III of Mobile; daughter, Edith Elizabeth (James) Cluster of Barnwell; five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope with the Rev. Mark Wilson officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice.
