James Adams, age 79, a native of Escambia County, Florida and a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away on Friday, May, 13, 2016.

He was an avid fisherman, member of the “Fort Morgan Mullet Society,” avid outdoorsman. His love for his family was evident with the time he spent with them fishing, hunting and gardening. He was known for sharing his catch “mullet” with neighbors and family.

Mr. Adams retired with Local 2471. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nadine Adams; two daughters, Susan (Leonard) Kichler and Pam (Tony) Moreno, all of Elberta, Alabama; four sons, Jerry (Mary) Adams of Perdido Beach, Alabama, Tim (Cindy) Adams, Jeff Adams, all of Elberta, Alabama and James Louis Adams of Pensacola, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until time of the service.

Interment will follow in Elberta Public Cemetery.
