James Dolphus Johnson Jr., age 89 a native of Pickens County and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and is a decorated veteran. Preceded in death by his parents, James Dolphus and Lilly Margaret Johnson and other siblings. Survived by his sister, Geneva Johnson Nichols of Northport and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012.
