James Douglas Forfar, 51, passed away suddenly in Detroit, Mich.
The oldest of six children, he was born in Highland Park, Mich., and grew up in North Branch, Mich. He graduated from Lapeer East High School in 1978. He worked as a juvenile counselor at McLaren Hospital in Flint. In 2007 he moved to Gulf Shores, where he working on finishing a college degree.
He will be sadly missed by his parents, James (Tookie) and Kren Forfar of Gulf Shores. He is survived by four children and their mother, four grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters and eight nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of his life in Lapeer, Mich. on Oct. 1, 2011.
