James H. “Jim” Ball Jr., 59, a native of Tuscaloosa and a resident of Stapleton, died Sunday, Sept. 5.
He was known as “The Guitar Doctor.” He was the previous owner of The Guitar Shop in Tuscaloosa and was the owner of Pickers Paradise in Stapleton.
Survivors include his wife, Lyle H. Ball of Stapleton; son, Warren Hopper of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Rebekah B. Embrey of Tuscaloosa; nephew, James Andrew Embrey of Wilmington, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 2770 S. McKenzie St., Foley, AL 36535.
Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Robertsdale.
