James Harrell Petrey, a resident of Foley, passed from this life on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
He was a retiree of International Paper Co. in Mobile. He spent his retirement years enjoying his family, hunting, fishing and also did lawn maintenance for a few years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes Kelley Petrey; children, Eulaine Hedges (Terry), Denise Wilson, Ann Burt (Steve) and Tony Petrey (Leanna); grandchildren, Kenny Wilson (Abbie), James Wilson, Chandler Petrey, Ethan Burt and Candice Mills; adopted granddaughter, Emily Evans; great-grandchildren, Trenton Wilson, Hayden, Olivia and Aalyah Mills; brothers, William F. “Buddy” Petrey of Saraland and Darrell Petrey of Mobile; sisters, Dorothy Jean Peoples (Tom) of Dothan, Melvia Dean Withers of Crestview, Fla. and Jearlean Stowe (Jerry) of Foley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
There will be a time of visitation with the Petrey family Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 6-8 p.m., at Faith Tabernacle Church in Foley.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Faith Tabernacle.
Burial will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The Petrey family suggests that memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to The Family Life Center at Faith Tabernacle, 18109 U.S. 98, Foley, AL 36535.
