James Henry Middleton, 80, born in Loxley, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at William F. Green State Veterans Home. He was a residential contractor.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peggy G. Middleton, Bay Minette; his children, Catherine Diane (Travis Ray Whitley) Mixson, Loxley, Rebecca Marie (J.T) Treadway, Pascagoula, Miss., Ester Louise (Glenn) Wilson, Silverhill; his step children, Mira (Carl) Rietman, Bay Minette, Tina (Bob) McGough, Fairhope, Carol (Feulner) Stuart, David (Donna) Weatherford, Hamilton (Scarlet) Weatherford and Johnathan (Kristy) Weatherford all of Bay Minette; two brothers, Billy (Judy) Middleton, Loxley, and Emmett (Edna) Middleton, Texas; three sisters, Annie Lee Herron, Texas, Eva Juchmes, Washington and Carrie Moore, Texas; five grandchildren, Michael, April, Amy, Lance and Eli and three great-grandchildren.
Services were March 25 at 3 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Bill Lutz officiating. Burial was at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Weatherford, Hamilton Weatherford, Johnathan Weatherford, Travis Whitley, Booker Stuart and Bob Lowe McGough.
