James ”JJ” William Seguin, 64, a native of New Orleans, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at home in Magnolia Springs.
JJ was a loving husband and father, and is survived by his wife, Linda P. Seguin; a daughter, Gina Weisenfels; a son, James Seguin Jr.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and uncountable brother of police.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Gloria L. Seguin.
He will always be greatly missed by all who loved him dearly.
JJ always listened to people, never left anyone out and had a real passion for serving his community. It was the simple things around him in life that he never took for granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful he was.
He was a father who always involved himself in every detail of his children's lives and supported, respected and loved his wife unconditionally.
He was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing.
There will be a time for visitation with the Seguin family on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Pine Rest Funeral Home, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 25, 2014, at at 10 a.m., at Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11 a.m., in Lake Lawn Park, New Orleans.
