James Nathan Webb Sr., age 84, a native of Washington County and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
He served in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was a deacon at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bay Minette. He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Webb (Craig) Waters of Bay Minette; grandchildren, Michelle Webb Hadley, Jerrod (Ashleigh) Sheffield, Micah Sheffield, all of Bay Minette; great-grandson, Nathan Keith Hadley, Stapleton of; daughter-in-law, Betty (Robert) Sheffield, Bay Minette; sisters, Myrtle Webb (John) Stewart, Foley and Lucille Webb (Milton) Jones, Pine Grove and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Vnoah Massey Webb; son, James Nathan Webb Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Ann Webb; sisters, Fannie Ruth Welford, Mary Garcia, Grace Avera; brothers, Caralee Webb, Clarence Webb and Sam Webb. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Eastwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr, Robbie Howard, the Rev. Richard Harvey and the Rev. Dr. Tony Meinhardt officiating.Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Fairhope Baptist Cemetery, Tibbie, Ala., located on Highway 17. Pallbearers are Jerrod Sheffield, Micah Sheffield, Nathan Hadley, Milton Jones, Larry Hayles and Michael Williams.
