James Roland Mason, age 72, a resident of Orange Beach, Ala., a native of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Monday, June 29, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Titus and Sarah Mason; and sister, Nancy Elizabeth Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gordon Mason; children, Pamela Mason Thornton, Jon Zachary Mason, Adam Kennedy Taylor, all of Daphne, and Larry Matthew Ganey (Jamie) of Foley; grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Thornton, Elizabeth Grace Thornton, Ava Belle Hedge, and Aenea Jewel Ganey; brothers, Walter Kenneth Mason (Verla) of Robertsdale and Larkin E. Mason (Robin) of Ackworth, Ga.; foster sister, Margaret Altiver (Rodney) of Maryland.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Interment will follow in Daphne Baptist Cemetery.
