James T. Pelfrey, 70, of Dawsonville, died Saturday Feb. 4, 2017.
James was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 17, 1946 to the late Harold L. and Margie J. Pelfrey.
He grew up in Doraville, Georgia where he attended Chamblee High School and was a United States Air Force veteran.
He lived in Daphne and Fairhope, Alabama, where he worked as an architect.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James Rewis.
He is survived by daughter, Stacey Brown of Goldsboro, North Carolina; granddaughters, Jessica Brown, Savanah Rewis and Dusty Rewis; brother, David and Cindy Pelfrey of Dawsonville, Georgia; sister, Donna Meyers of Auburn, Georgia.
A celebration of life will be held Feb. 12, 2017, from 2-5 p.m., at the home of Donna Meyers, 1707 Wynfield Lane, Auburn, GA. 30011.
A private service will be held at a later date in Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in James' memory to a charity of your choice.
