Jamie Kathryn Burkes, age 50, a native of Jackson, Mississippi and resident of Bon Secour, Ala., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.
Jamie was joyful person, full of life, laughter, and love. She is survived by her husband Tim Burkes of Bon Secour; sons, Chris Luna of Vicksburg, Miss., and Tyler Luna of San Diego, Calif.; step daughter, Shelby Burkes of Fort Worth, Texas; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions in the name of Mrs. Burkes, to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 1660 Springhill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604. A visitation will be held at Pine Rest Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. A memorial service will held at a later late in Jackson Miss. Arrangements by Pine Rest Funeral Home.
