GULF SHORES, Ala. — The first Town Hall meeting of this year will be held on Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gulf Shores Adult Activity Center.

The purpose of the Town Hall meetings is to give citizens and government a forum in which to interact with each other.

Steve Garman, the newly hired Gulf Shores city administrator, will share his background and describe the duties of the city administrator.  A representative from the city government will discuss the 2009 budget and the effect it will have on projects and personnel.

Following a question and answer period, area representatives will be available for residents to express concerns about their particular areas of the city.

All residents of Gulf Shores are encouraged to attend to help increase the dialog between the elected officials and their constituents.

For further information about the Town Hall meeting, contact Tom Moore at 948-7864.
