Jane Elizabeth Ousley, 69, of Haddock, Ga. died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to a 7 p.m. funeral on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home in Gray, Ga. The Rev. Gary Thomas will officiate.
Committal services and burial will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Silverhill Cemetery in Silverhill.
Mrs. Ousley was born in Mobile on Dec. 06, 1941, and was the daughter of Estelle Williams Pate and the late James Cary Pate. After completing her education, she worked as a seamstress for Vanity Fair and raised her family.
Mrs. Ousley had lived in Haddock for the past five years, and was a member of Elam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O’Neil Ousley.
Mrs. Ousley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Matt MacCartee of Haddock; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard O’Neil and Stephanie Ousley of Robertsdale and Russell DeWayne Ousley of Indian Town, Fla.; mother, Estelle Williams Pate of Evergreen, Ala.; sister, Nell Moorer, also of Evergreen; brother, Dwight Pate of Dover, Del.; and by her grandchildren, Tyler MacCartee, Tara MacCartee, Tabi MacCartee, Tiffany Ousley, Christina Ousley, Rick Ousley and Kimberlee Ousley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, GA 31032.
