Jeanne Dahmer, 90, a native of Mobile and a longtime resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday May 17, 2011.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church Mobile, a music teacher in the Alabama/Mobile school system for 30 years, founding member of the Mobile Symphony and played viola in the Mobile, Opera and other Gulf Coast Symphonies for over 50 years.
In addition to her love of music she enjoyed being with friends and family, the outdoors, history, touring and watching the sunset in Fairhope.
She was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Juan Dahmer; and brother, Claude Dahmer Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at Henry George Park (the bluff) in Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
