Lloyd B. Jeffers, 70, a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, June 25, 2009.

He was employed with International Paper in the maintenance department for over 25 years.

He and his wife served as house parents for the Alabama Sheriff’s Boys Ranch for several years. It was during this time at the boys’ ranch that he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G.W. and Ruby Jeffers, and a brother, Ralph Jeffers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Wanda Faye Jeffers; daughter, Tammy (Bobby) Rieben of Bay Minette; two sons, Keith (Lisa) Jeffers of Milton, Fla., and Scott (Manky) Jeffers of Loxley; grandchildren, Brittney and Lindsey Rieben, Delana Jeffers, Jeffrey (Jackie) Bennett and Brandon Bennett; one great-grandchild, Allie Jae Bennett; a sister, Georgia (Bobby) Mock of Milton, Fla.; and two brothers, Tommy (Becky) Jeffers of Crossroads and Dennis (Lisa) Jeffers of Bay Minette.

The Jeffers family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Amy Armstrong for her dedication and concern.
