Ralph Edward Jeffers, 72, a native of Freemanville, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He was a switchman foreman for the Alabama State Docks Terminal Railway where he worked for 32 years. He also served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Mosley Jeffers of Bay Minette; three children, Ricky (Kathy) Jeffers of Crossroads, Ronnie (Nita) Jeffers of Bay Minette and Burt (Jackie) Jeffers of Whitehouse Fork; sister, Georgia Mae Mock of Milton, Fla.; three brothers, Lloyd Jeffers of Bay Minette, Tommy Jeffers of Crossroads and Dennis Jeffers of Bay Minette; and seven grandchildren, Cory Jeffers, Kendra Jeffers, Brent Jeffers, Amy Jeffers, Justin Jeffers, Scotty White and Patrick White.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 23 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Forrest Weekley officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
