Jeriod R. Garner, 84, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Wednesday,

June 22, 2011 at North Baldwin Infirmary.

He was a jet engine mechanic supervisor at Kelly Air Force Base in San

Antonio, Texas, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Lindsey Garner; and son, Michael Evan Garner.

Survivors include his wife, Frances (Rabun) Garner of Bay Minette; seven children, Robert Stephen (Peggy Ann) Garner, Tommie David (Nora) Garner, Christopher Berry (Leticia) Garner, all of San Antonio, Tammy Marie Jenkins of Montgomery, Jack Edward Clark of Sylacauga, Deborah Jo (Kim) Youmans of Swainsboro, Ga., and Diane Erickson of Bay Minette; daughter-in-law, Teresita T. Garner of Bay Minette; three brothers, James “Jim” Garner, Robert Howard Garner Jr., both of Bay Minette; and Winifred Garner of San Francisco; sister, Eunice Tindall of Bay Minette; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 25 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Car and Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 311 D’Olive St., Bay Minette, AL 36507.
