Jerry Franklin Little, 64 of LaVergne, Tenn., passed away , Tuesday, March 24, 2015 surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He was born Feb. 25, 1951 in Atmore, the firstborn of the late John Marshall Little Sr. and Edna Mae Hicks Little.

Jerry graduated from Baldwin County High School and College of the South in Pascagoula, Miss.

He worked in the trucking industry for several years in Mobile, then as general manager for King Arthur Clock Co. in Fairhope. He later was the manager of NWC-TV in Nashville, Tenn.

Jerry had a heart of gold, and was always helping others. He was known for his kindness and never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He enjoyed gardening, listening to music and reading. He was a serious student of American political history, but most of all he was an avid fisherman. Jerry especially loved to go fishing with his brother, Johnny.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra Fowler Little of LaVergne, Tenn; his daughter, Teresa (Toby) Earnest of Pooler, Ga.; his stepson, Larry (Sara) Wilson of Lake Forest; his brother, John M. (Rhonda) Little Jr. of Bay Minette; his sisters, Jo Anne (Dan) Burrage of Spanish Fort, Myra (Bruce) Moran of Bay Minette and Pam Brooks of Semmes; and four grandchildren, Emma Earnest, Mac Earnest, Taylor Wilson and Wade Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home, with Dr. Henry Cox officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairhope Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 1 until 2:30 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home.

God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so he wrapped his arms around him and whispered, “come to me.”
