Jerry Merchant Teel, age 87, a native and a resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, passed away June 28, 2016.
Ms. Teel began her married life as a farmer’s wife and homemaker. She worked for M & F Department Store in Robertsdale, Alabama for 23 years and later had a private day care.
She loved to fish, play cards and games. Ms. Teel was an excellent cook.
She was a member of the Rosinton United Methodist Church.
Ms. Teel was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Teel; and is survived by two daughters, Nancy Teel Strube, Sandra Teel (Bill) Clark of Robertsdale, Alabama; favorite sister-in-law, Mertis Teel Childress, all of Robertsdale, Alabama; five sisters, Vada Torsella, Pauline Gensel, Irene Savage, Frances Baker, Margaret Matcovich; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home, with a memorial visitation 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
