Jesse Elige Denman, 85, a native of Mississippi and resident of Daphne, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at home with his family at his side.

Jesse was a member of the Masonic Lodge #598 in Fairhope. He was one of the founders of the Daphne Volunteer Fire Department, and he retired from NAS Pensacola after 38 years of service.

He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Denman; and a grandson, Patrick King.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elaine Denman of Daphne; one daughter, Patricia (Bill) King of Helena; and two grandchildren, Michael C. King of Mobile and Christen D. King of Dothan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Daphne Baptist Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Daphne United Methodist Church.
