"font-family:">Jesse Franklin Tomlinson, 71, passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
"font-family:">He retired after 27 years as a carman with Norfolk Southern in Mobile, he was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, loved playing his guitar and singing at local assisted living nursing homes and he was a member of the Stapleton Baptist Church.
"font-family:">Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Riley H. Tomlinson; and a son, Jeffrey Scott Tomlinson.
"font-family:">He is survived by his son, Brett Tomlinson of Mobile; his former wife, Dorothy B. Tomlinson of Mobile; mother, Ada Y. Powell of Loxley; four sisters, Peggy T. Dickman of Ohio, Dorothy T. Payton of Screven, Ga., Elsie T. Edwards of Foley and Jan Vanderford of Alaska; one brother, Jerry Tomlinson of Citronelle; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
"font-family:">Jesse had the pleasure and good fortune of having three good dog friends, Dusty, Hobo and Toby.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
"font-family:">Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
