Jimmy Gilbert, 90, a former resident of Robertsdale and a resident of Westminster Village died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Esme.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Gilbert of Westminster Village; two daughters, Ellen (Joseph) Williams of Metairie, La., and Rebecca (David) Drennen of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Natalia Williams Harris, Elizabeth Williams, Patrick Drennen and Phillip Drennen; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Todd, Grady Joseph, Ayden and Grant.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Robertsdale with the Rev. Norman Bray, former member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and Rector of St. Luke’s Church in Marianna, Fla., officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Norman Willey, Dennis Stastka, Theresa King, Carolyn Sellers, Bob Miller, Jim Hendrix, Members of the Robertsdale Rotary Club, Alabama Independent Insurance Association and the Congregation of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Robertsdale.
