JoAnn K. Hayes, 69, a native of Miami and a resident of Rosinton, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.
She was a member of the Alabama Women’s Cattlemens Association, Alabama Farmer’s Federation, Red Hat Society and a volunteer for Catholic Social Services. She loved to travel, especially to the Florida Keyes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hayes.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Ronald) Hayes of Rosinton; two sons, Dewane (Carmen) Hayes and Darrell Hayes of Rosinton; two sisters, Linda Wroble of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Kathy Kammer of Dobson, N.C.; brother, Sam Knowles of Loxley; five grandchildren, Ronnie and Steven Hinote, Ashton and Marideth Hayes, and Claire Hayes; and one great-grandchild, Lexi Hinote.
Funeral services and visitation were held Saturday, Dec. 18 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Robertsdale with Father William James officiating. Burial followed at New Cooper Cemetery, Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic School, P.O. Box 1367, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
