John Berl Thompson Sr., 84, born in Tallassee and a resident of Foley, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at a local hospital.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joanne Thompson.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie (Arte) Ferrell of Foley, Jessica Rene (Larry) Buehler of Angleton, Texas and Jenny (James) Johnson of Foley; a son, John (Donna) Thompson Jr. of Newnan, Ga.; a brother, Jesse Thompson of Montgomery; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
