John Dudley Gentry Jr., 89, a native of Jefferson County and resident of Daphne, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gentry Sr. and Muriel Gentry.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Virginia Gentry of Daphne; daughters, Sandra (Leon) Cobb of Slocomb, Kara Jan (Tim) Cudd of Daphne and Susanne (Landrum) Leavell of Denton, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, from noon-2 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 from the chapel at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, with Dr. Landrum Leavell and Dr. Paul Matthews officiating.
Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
