John Earl Britain Sr., 73, a resident of Fairhope, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Friday, Jan. 30, 2015.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Dorothy Britain; and grandson, Dalton Zayne Britain.
He is survived by his wife, Beverley H. Britain of Fairhope; daughter, Cynthia (Lee) Woodard of Fairhope; sons, John E. (Tammy) Britain Jr of Silverhill and Daniel W. (Jennifer) Britain of Rosinton; brothers, L.J. Britain and Francis Britain, both of Mobile; grandchildren, Shawn Hall, Alec Goosen, Evan Britain, Rivers Britain, Coralann Britain and Dylan Britain.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice of Baldwin County, or USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile.
