John Edmond Chafin, 91 of Foley, passed away on Aug. 22, 2011.
He was a active member of the Foley United Methodist Church. Mr. Chafin was also a member of the Hadji Shrinerss Temple, Pensacola, Fla., Foley Lions Club and the Sonora Masonic Lodge, Summerdale.
He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Carolyn Chafin, of Foley; one son, Danny (Marissa) Chafin, of Robertsdale; one grandson, Ray (Peggy) Chafin of Morris, Ala.; two great-grandsons, Blake and Will Chafin of Morris.
A funeral service will be held Thursday Aug. 25, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the Foley United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held at the church from 3 p.m. until the start of the funeral.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday Aug. 26, 2011 from the Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika, Ala.
