John Henry Sanders, 52, of Bay Minette, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
He was a native of Little River and had been a resident of Atlanta for many years before returning to Bay Minette in December, 2009. He was a 1979 graduate of Baldwin County High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Sanders; sister Cynthia Sanders; and brother, Tony Sanders.
Survivors include his mother, Earnestine Sanders of Bay Minette; three daughters, Tamara La’Trice Grimes of Atmore, Syretta Brown of Spanish Fort and Teakia Graves of Bay Minette; son, Kelvin Montez Grimes of Atmore; four sisters, Bernice Bradley, Carolyn Sanders and Cathy Palmer, all of Bay Minette, and Shirley Moore of Perdido; six brothers, Robert Shoemo and Roy Sanders, both of Atmore, Roosevelt Sanders of Pensacola, Fla., and Claude Sanders, Wilmon Sanders and Garland Sanders, all of Bay Minette; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Dees, eulogist; and the Rev. Dwight Boykin, host pastor. Burial will follow at Mutual Aide Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Chapel LLC, Atmore.
