John Julius “Jay” Page III, born July 12, 1960, a native of Mobile and a resident of Gulf Shores for the past 25 years, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 after a brief illness.
He was an avid fisherman, boatsman and water sports enthusiast. He was involved in the restaurant business all his adult life where he made many friends and was considered everyone’s brother.
He is the last of the Page Ancestral line dating back to Thomas Page, 1662.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julius and Catherine Page, Sam and Peggy Williamson; uncle, Lt. Col. Robert M. “Bob” Page; and cousins, Brad and Marty Page.
Survivors include his father, John Julius “J.J.” (Gayle) Page Jr. of Fairhope; his mother, Lamona Williamson Carpenter of Gulf Shores; sister, Terri (Kevin) Williams of Gulf Shores; niece, Lauren Ribeiro of Gulf Shores; grand niece, Aleah Ribeiro of Gulf Shores; three aunts, Sandy Page, Helen Duggan Martin and Myrt Etheridge; two uncles, Tom Martin and S.L. (Joy Ann) Williamson; cousins, Kelly (Gary) Foote, Katie Foote, Charlotte Ann Caminas, Peggy Martin, Harriet “Sam” Tucker, Ryan Tucker, Josh Tucker, J.B. Martin III, Peg Williamson, Debbie Turner, Shannon Etheridge, Angie Taylor; other relatives, many close and special friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, with the Rev. Austin Conry as Celebrant. A private family burial will be held at a later time.
