John Marcus "Red" Smith, age 79, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sidney Paul Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Smith of Fairhope; daughter, Patricia (Tommy) Woolf of Belmont, North Carolina; son, Mark (Tonya) Smith of Semmes, Alabama; stepdaughters, Angela (Brent) Chandler of Birmingham and Amy (John) Boyce of Semmes; stepsons, Michael Mallory of Mobile and Chuck Mallory of Bay Minette; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Donald) Newby of Brewton, Alabama; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope cemetery.
