John Oliver Broadus, 71, a native of Mobile and resident of Daphne, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
Mr. Broadus owned and worked as an independent electrical contractor, as well as teaching two decades, retiring from Murphy Area Vocational Center.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Fairhope, and was an avid Civil War enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, three children and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. William Parsons officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m.
