John Peter Propst, 75, born in Atmore and a resident of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at his residence.
He was a supervisor (retired) at James Brothers Construction Co. He also served with the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Ann (Flowers) Propst of Bay Minette; two sons, Ronald Allen (Sharon) Propst and Douglas Sidney (Nina) Propst, both of Bay Minette; one brother, Frank (Shirley) Propst Jr. of Bay Minette; two grandchildren, Keith Allen (Grace) Propst of Bay Minette and Stephen Michael Propst of Gateswood; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Propst and Jacob Propst, both of Bay Minette.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Propst Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette, with the Rev. Chris Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, from 1 until the 3 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Keith Prospt, Stephen Prost, Steven Fitzgerald, John Lundy, Gary Powers and Joe Davis.
