Johnnie Grey Rotch, 80, born Jan. 16, 1935, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 in Mobile, Ala. He was a native of Jackson, Ala. and resident of Bay Minette, Ala.
He was a civil engineer with the Alabama Highway Department, retiring after 37 years. Johnnie served in the United States Army, being honorably discharged on May 31, 1963.
He was a member of the Coffeeville Masonic Lodge No.122 for over 50 years and a member of the American Legion Post 188, serving as commander for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Rotch of Bay Minette, Ala.; two daughters, Lisa (Mack) Moss of Coffeeville, Ala. and Jennifer (Bill) Pelot of Elberta, Ala.; one son, Jerry “JR” Boone of Bay Minette, Ala.; four sisters, Janiece (Jimmy) Atchison of Jackson, Ala., Nell (Bob) Barnes, Eloise Cale and Polly Dungan, all of Mobile, Ala.; three grandchildren, Amanda Bayne Fescina, Tyler Vines and Jonathan Vines; and two great-grandchildren, Ashton Vines and Hayden Hall.
