Sylvia “Lou-Lou” Louise Johnson, 61, a native of Monroeville and a resident of Uriah, died on Monday, May 17, 2010.
She had worked as an LPN at Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette.
She was a loving mother who cared the most about her family. She also was an amazing baker and well known for her red velvet cakes and her beautiful rose gardens. Filled with so much love, she was a kind and caring person who saw the good in everybody and treated them as her own. Some have said, “she loved hard.”
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Ammons (Jeff) Ives of Stapleton and Jennifer (Billy) Joiner of Bay Minette; two sisters, Frances (Curtis) Phillips and Dora Ann Crutchfield, both of Stapleton; two brothers, Johnny Williams of Stapleton and Fred (Rose) Brooks of Frisco City; and four grandchildren, Christopher Ammons, Joe Hadley, Laker Ives and Noble Joiner.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Thursday May 27 at Providence Baptist Church, Rabun with the Rev. Ron McGhee officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
