Charles Curtis “Catfish” Johnson,   78, a native of Uriah and a resident of Spanish Fort since 1957, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010.

He was a  father, a fisherman, deer hunter, Alcoa retiree, a proud man and a fearless kid.

His children will never forget how hard he worked in this life for his family, what a special loving Christian father and cherished friend he was.

He was always there for his children and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 58 plus years, Lois Marie Johnson; children Danny (Suzy) Johnson, Randall Johnson, Karen Restrepo,  Gwendolyn Green and Brandy Johnson; grandchildren, Kristy, Sandy, Danny II,  Ryan, Jeremy, Brandy and Michael; and great-grandchildren Jobey, Garrek, Elijah, Penelope and Jude .

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Funeral Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery down the road from the family home.
