Mary Agnes “Ag” MacKay Johnston, 100, a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, June 7, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Agnes MacKay and Donald William MacKay; sister, Marguerite Reinhalter; and a brother, David William MacKay.
She was the last surviving graduate of the Girls Preparatory School Class of 1925. She also attended Kingsmith Studios. She was an avid gardener, and a long-time member of the Providence Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann H. (Emmett Ripley) Cox of Fairhope and Kay (Joe) Williams of Daphne; five grandchildren, Jody Williams, Leigh Williams McArthur, Lynn Williams Cook, John Haas Cox, Catherine Cox Jouet; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
