Jolly Matthews Fields, 86, a native of Columbus, Ga., a former resident of Montgomery and a resident of Daphne, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Harrison Fields; a sister, Mae Gordy Matthews; and son, Joseph Michael Fields.
She is survived by her children, Jack (Laura) Fields of Foley, George (Joanna) Fields of Daphne, Jay Fields of Daphne, Teresa Allen of Fitzpatrick, Ala., David (Judi) Fields and Bernie (Traci) Fields of Montgomery and Fr. William Dominic Fields O.P., Louisville, Kent.; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Mitchell of Columbus, Ga., daughter-in law, Tracey Fields of Daphne; numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Wednesday June 19, 2013, from 5 until 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne, on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 10 a.m. Interment will be held in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Montgomery, on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Burse Club or Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Mobile.
