Dean Marion Jones, 88, a native of Omaha, Neb., a former resident of Tulsa, Olka., for 40 years, and a resident of Fairhope for the last 10 years, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009.
He was a veteran of World War II in the U. S. Army Air Corps and an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
In Tulsa, he was a retail department store manager.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Esther G. Jones, daughter, Julie Ann Jones, brother, Harry B. Jones Jr., and sister, Elizabeth J. Brewer.
Survivors include four children, Dean Marion (Elizabeth R.) Jones Jr. of Pewaukee, Wis., Daniel Martin (Joan Marie) Jones of Denver, Beverly J. (Lyman W.) Dykes of Fairhope, and Marcia K. (Larry) Rogers of Fairmont, Okla.; eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. with funeral services at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Daphne. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
