Grady F. Jones, 75, born Oct. 5, 1932 in Elmore, a resident of Gulf Shores, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 in Gulf Shores.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a member of Scabbard and Blade. He was also a member of Phi Delta Kappa education fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Knight Jones of Gulf Shores; son, Col. Franklin Keith Jones of Newnan, Ga.; daughter, Kandie Kaye Butts of Sharpsburg, Ga., grandsons, Bonner Jones of Athens, Ga., Brett Butts of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Bryan Butts of Sharpsburg; three brothers, Thomas William Jnes of Northport, Ferris Bailey Jones of Fernandine Beach, Fla., and Majure Dixon Jones of Vincent.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Pine Rest Funeral Home.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 26148 Capital Drive Suite F, Daphne, AL 36526, or to the First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores Building Fund, 2200 W. First St., Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
