Alfred Jones, 78, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007.
He was a retired machine operator and worked in the Bag Pack Division of International Paper Company. He was a member of the Bay Minette Masonic Lodge number 498 and was in the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Luvern Cooper Jones of Bay Minette; two sons, Thomas (Nancy) Jones and Ronald Jones, both of Bay Minette; two daughters, Debra (Dale) Middleton of Bay Minette and Brenda (Daniel) Garner of Stockton; five grandchildren, Rhonda Long, Cassie Long, Dylan Jones, Kyle Jones and Jessica Thurston; and brother, Arthur “A.C. “ Jones of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 1 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Chaplain Cindy Still officiating. Burial was in the Bay Minette Cemetery. A Masonic graveside service was rendered by the Bay Minette Masonic Lodge number 498.
Active pallbearers were Claude Overstreet, Wayne Overstreet, Leon Overstreet, Tony Richerson, Steve Richerson and Johnny Richerson.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 311 D’Olive Street, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
