FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Laura Kelly Jones and Ronald Taylor South were united in marriage at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope on Aug. 6, 2011. The Rev. Donald Meredith Smith III officiated.
Laura Kelly Jones South,the bride, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gordon Jones of Fairhope. Her grandmother is Mrs.Mary Martin Stearns and grandfather is Mr. Thomas Stifle Jones.
Kelly graduated in 2005 from Providence High School in Charlotte, N.C. She then attended Auburn University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in biomedical sciences.
Currently she is about to start in her second year of professional school at Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.
Ronald Taylor South, the groom, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hayward South of Selma, Ala. His grandmothers are Mrs. Mary Taylor Johnson and Mrs. Velma Brewer South.
Taylor graduated in 2003 from Morgan Academy in Selma. He then attended Auburn University, graduating in 2007 with a degree in business administration.
Currently he is now a territory sales manager for Cub Cadet in Birmingham.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Anna Katherine Hawke of Destin, Fla., as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cassandra Talia Bohlman of Atlanta, Hannah Elizabeth Pipkin of Enterprise, Ala., Leslie Diane Day of Hoover, Ala., Erika Torres of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Jamie Lynn Schoenfeld of Charlotte, N.C. and Jaimie Marie Dunion of Trussville, Ala.
The groom was attended by his father, Ronald Hayward South, as his best man.
Groomsmen were Winston Paul Wilson of Chelsea, Ala., Christopher Hamilton Williams of Vestavia Hills, Ala., Matthew David Casey, William Johnson South, Thomas Kelley Dagostin Jr. of Selma, Ala. and Thomas Stearns Jones of Fairhope.
The ushers included Anthony David White of Opelika, Ala., John Daniel Hawke of Fairhope and Benjamin Dobbins Cosby, William Austin Lang, and Blake Robert South, all from Selma, Ala.
The flower girl was Emma Kathryn South; crucifer was Daniel Lamar Johnson Lee; acolyte was Christopher Dalton Johnson Lee; bell ringer Justin Kirk Friday, all from Selma. Readers were Courtney Erin Chavers of Birmingham and Steven Michael South of Selma. Program attendants were Emily Katherine Chalk of Brandon, Miss. and Sydney Michele Palmer of Helena, Ala.
A reception followed at the Fairhope Yacht Club. After a honeymoon trip to Antigua the couple will reside in Auburn.
