Mary Mott Bolton Jordan, 93, a native of Theodore and a resident of Foley since 1953, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at her residence in Foley.

She was born Feb. 4, 1915 in Mobile. She was a graduate of Theodore High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Foley for 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Jordan in 1978, a son, Marcine Jordan in 1939, two daughters, Mary Louise Cross in 1993 and Barbara Miller in 2007, granddaughter, Leslie Ann Miller in 1976, and sister, Marguerite Wallace earlier this year.

Survivors include a son, Allen (Patsy) Jordan of Dallas; two brothers, Joseph (Margaret) Bolton of Mobile and Donnie (Vera) Bolton of Dickinson; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, Earl Cross of Foley and Lonnie Miller of Milton, Fla., numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Special thanks to caregivers Annie Steel, Elize McGaster and Claudie Rocker, niece, Carolyn Jaye Miller and the staff at Southern Care Hospice.

Vistitation begins at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley with Dr. Billy Nale, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Foley, officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Foley’s Building Fund, P.O. Box 307, Foley, AL 36536.
