Joseph Caroll Shepherd, 77, of Elberta, died Friday, April 22, 2011.
He was a member of Crossway Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Foley and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Shepherd of Elberta; four sons, Peter (Vallory) Shepherd of North Carolina, Jonathan (Shannon) Crescenzi of Elberta, Anthony (Mallory) Crescenzi of Gulf Shores, and Joe Shepherd of Virginia; six daughters, Helen Crescenzi of North Carolina, Faith Crescenzi (Michael) Brockwell of Gulf Shores, Tary Teu of Virginia, Barbary Stroup of Georgia, Karin Youngblood of Virginia and Yvonne (John) Davies of Virginia; sister, Shelby Johnson of North Carolina; brother, Windsor (Margaret) Shepherd of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Crossway Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, Foley. Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Crossway Christian Fellowship Church Building Fund.
