Joseph David Grau, age 61, passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 in Columbus, Ga. He was formerly a longtime resident of Gulf Shores.
He was the practice manager of Columbus Cardiology Associates in Columbus, Ga., and had previously been the vice president of clinics and practice management at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala.
Joseph earned both his undergraduate degree in accounting and his master’s degree in business from Auburn University. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy Jo Tucker Grau and George J. Grau, both of Gulf Shores.
He is survived by his loving family, consisting of his daughter, Jordan Ruth Grau of Gulf Shores, Ala.; his son, Jared Tyler Grau of San Antonio, Texas; and his brother, G. Tucker Grau of Gulf Shores, Ala.
A memorial service will be held on the public beach behind Bahama Bob’s restaurant on West Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Saint Andrew by the Sea Church in Gulf Shores.
