Joseph T. “Joe” Williams, born Dec. 15, 1936, a native of Mobile and a resident of Daphne, died Thrusday, Dec. 30, 2010.

He was a long time member of Tinker Coon Hunting and Fishing club. He and his wife had a lifelong passion for cooking and entertaining family and friends.

He was the premier joke teller and the life of the party and a generous host.

He was a long time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank “Ted” and Anne B. Williams; and a sister, Norva Potter.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary “Kay” Haas Williams; a son, Joseph D. “Jody” Williams; twin daughters, Leigh McArthur and Lynn Cook; six grandchildren, Austin Prator, Brittany Prator Weaver, Bonnie Richards, Dillon Williams Katelyn Williams and Nelson McArthur; and a sister, Bobbie Busby.

The family would like to add a special thanks to Frank Haas and Ted Clayton for their dedicated friendship; to the Daphne Fire Department for their dedicated efforts; and to Covenant Hospice for their compassion and loving care.

Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.

Refreshments will be served following the interment at the home of Jody and Jill Williams, 6403 Captains Lane, Daphne.
